1. How did you get into the YNFG Community ?

i think i started getting into YNFG while i was introduced to YNOproject around mid-2022. i wanted to try these hosted fangames out, and eventually i would play some occasionally. i’ve seen a lot of impressive works, but i haven’t fully played them yet ! and speaking of high quality works…

2. What's your favorite fangame ?

this is a question that’s a little difficult to answer ! i think the interesting mechanics and concept of yume tsushin makes it a favorite of mine ! not only that, but i would like to study the fangame not just from the art style, but perhaps little unique mechanics not normally seen in most average YNFGs. of course, there are other great fangames out there, but there’s so many i can’t mention here..!

3. What do you think makes a YNFG a YNFG ?

hmm… i think what makes a YNFG has to do with the theme and concept being well executed or adapted. a YNFG in my opinion conveys some kind of theme or feeling when you stumble upon an atmosphere that’s consistent throughout the game or symbolism that has a hidden meaning to what the purpose of a YNFG is, especially for what the protagonist faces in their dreams.

4. Anything you want to say about the community ?

in regards to the YNFG community, i honestly could say that a lot of derivative works from fangames to fan illustrations is really a space that you can express your own art in an interactive way or producing an illustration for a favorite fangame you like that shows appreciation of that fangame’s creator..! i do want to produce a fangame someday, but i’ve been lacking motivation and also busy… so please feel free to give me some of the former ! ! ! ! ! i’ve already had concept art drawn, so i’m off with a good start so far for what i want to produce~
